To make a long distance call within Canada from Vancouver, all you need to do is dial 1 + area code + seven-digit telephone number.

Calls to the United States and the Caribbean
To place a call to the United States or the Caribbean from Vancouver, dial 1 + area code + seven-digit telephone number.

International Calls from Vancouver
To make a call to other foreign countries from Vancouver, dial 011 + country code + city code + local number.
